Beginner Mistakes

Keep the learning process light

Trying to memorise everything

One card a day is enough. Notice the image, your reaction, and what happened around you. Understanding takes repetition.

Using a meaning as a verdict

A card changes with its position, orientation, neighbouring cards, and the question. Keywords are a starting point, not a conclusion.

Asking the same question repeatedly

Repeated draws often chase certainty and can make anxiety louder. Record the first reading, then return after you have acted, received new information, or allowed enough time for the situation to genuinely change.

Leaving reality out

Tarot is a conversation aid. Intuition matters, and so do evidence, boundaries, and the consequences of an action.

A simple tarot ritual

Clear a small space. Take three slow breaths and write one open question. Shuffle with that question in mind, look at the image before the guidebook, and finish by naming one action for today that is small enough to complete even on a busy day.
